A Drama You Will Get Hooked On

You finally finish that last episode of a K-Drama you've recently binged on and now are left with that one critical question, "What am I to watch next?" As a K-Drama addict myself, I constantly ask myself that when I finish watching what I thought was my favorite drama. I strongly suggest to check out 'Lawless Lawyer.'

Now you may wonder what is this show about? This action-packed series is about a former gangster turned lawyer, returns to the city of Kiseong to avenge the murder of his mother by bringing down the corrupt puppet master and her underlings at fault with the help of a demoted lawyer. As a drama fan, we tend to watch a drama because of a couple factors: the plot or the actors who play in the drama. Since I have introduced a small glimpse of the synopsis, here is an introduction to the major characters of the drama. 

1) Lee Joon Gi as Bong Sang-pil

Male lead character. A former gangster turned lawyer who returns to his hometown, the corrupt city of Kiseong, South Korea. He takes over a loan shark business and turns it into his law firm. He makes use of the loopholes in the law to win cases and is set to bring down those involved in his mother's murder he witnessed as a child.

2) Seo Ye-ji as Ha Jea-yi

Female lead character. Was a Seoul lawyer until she got demoted for punching a judge in the face due to an unfair ruling. Is recruited by Bon Sang-pil for her strong sense of justice and talent. Her mother is missing and she believes she might be alive somewhere out there. Looks favorably upon Judge Cha Moon-sook as a mother figure and a figure of justice. 

3) Lee Hye-young as Cha Moon-sook

Cha Moon-sook is a highly respected judge and the puppet master of the corrupt city Kiseong. She uses all around her to do her dirty work and seemingly is impossible to prove to be involved. Is responsible for the death of Bong Sang-pil's mother's death. 

4) Choi Min-soo as Ahn Oh-joo

Ahn Oh-joo is the most well feared gangster as well as the top business owner in the city. He works under Cha Moon-sook taking care of most of her deeds and is also up to his own agenda. He prefers to keep his past away from the public eye. He eventually gains the status of the Mayor of Kiseong. 

These characters alone will keep you on the edge of your seat. You find yourself rooting for the good guys as well as wanting to punch or throw your tv, cell phone or laptop across the room when seeing how devious the bad guys are.
